Ingredients:
- 2 slices of your favorite bread (sourdough or rye)
- 4 slices of bacon, cooked until crispy
- 2 slices of sharp cheddar or Havarti
- 4-5 thick-cut dill pickle chips (pat them dry)
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- A pinch of dried dill
- 1 tbsp salted butter (for a golden-brown crust)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Secret Sauce:
In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and dried dill. Set aside. - Assemble the Sandwich:
Spread the secret sauce on one side of each slice of bread. On one slice, layer the cheese, cooked bacon, and dill pickle chips. Top with the second slice of bread, sauce side down. - Cook the Sandwich:
In a skillet over medium heat, melt the salted butter. Once the butter is melted and bubbly, add the assembled sandwich to the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted. - Serve:
