This Muffaletta Cheese Ball is inspired by the iconic New Orleans sandwich, packed with bold flavors from olives, cheese, and savory seasonings. Creamy, tangy, and perfect for spreading, it’s a show-stopping appetizer for parties, holidays, or game day gatherings.
Ingredients
16 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded provolone cheese
½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup finely chopped olive salad (muffaletta olive mix)
2 tbsp finely chopped roasted red peppers
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp dried oregano
½ tsp black pepper
Chopped parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Prepare the mixture
In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, provolone, mozzarella, olive salad, roasted red peppers, garlic powder, oregano, and black pepper. Mix until fully combined.
Shape the cheese ball
Using clean hands or a spatula, shape the mixture into a ball or dome shape. Wrap tightly in plastic wrap.
Chill
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm and easy to slice or spread.
Garnish and serve
Remove from the refrigerator, unwrap, and garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
Serve
Serve with crackers, sliced baguette, or toasted crostini.
