Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup water
- 8 tablespoons butter 1 stick
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 eggs
- 1 teaspoon white sugar
FOR THE FILLING:
- 1 pint heavy cream
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1 package instant vanilla pudding 3.4 ounces
Method
- Put the butter, water, sugar, and vanilla in a pan and bring to a boil.
- Stir in the flour and keep stirring and cooking until it forms a ball.
- Remove the mixture from the pan and cool.
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
- Now beat one egg at a time into the cooled flour mixture.
- Drop tablespoons of the mixture on to parchment paper lined baking sheets.
- Bake for 15 minutes.
- Turn the oven heat down to 350 degrees F and cook for another 15 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and cut a slit into the side of each one with a sharp knife.
- Let them cool completely.
- Beat the filling ingredient together until thick and then pipe or scoop it into the cooled puffs.
- Dust with powdered sugar and serve.
